Understanding Portfolio Health Page
Goal
To understand what the Portfolio Health page does and how to use it to see task and location performance across your entire program in one place. The Portfolio page replaces the need to move between multiple pages to answer the question, “Where does my attention need to go first?”
Tip: Portfolio is positioned to replace Company Overview. Please keep in mind you may need to update existing bookmarks
What the Portfolio Health page is
The Portfolio Health page is a single view of task and location performance across your locations. Instead of one fixed layout, it is organized into tabs that your company (Subscription Owner) configures around its workstreams.
- Common tab examples: Openings, Transitions, Brand Standard Rollout, or Migrations.
- Each tab can show the components that matter to that workstream.
- Filters apply across the page, so you can narrow the entire view at once.
What the Portfolio Health page gives you
| What you need | How Portfolio Health delivers it |
|---|---|
| See where attention is needed first | My Today’s Focus ranks the work assigned to you using overdue status, prerequisites and dependencies, milestone flags, and other scenarios. |
| Spot issues before work is missed | Risk is a leading indicator based on upcoming workload and the likelihood that work gets missed. Health is a lagging indicator based on past-due tasks and milestones. |
| Find the source of delays | Expand a location by department, discipline, phase, or tag to see exactly where progress is held up. |
| Take action without leaving the page | The detail panel brings together tasks, comments, files, links, contacts, location attributes, milestones, and unassigned work. |
Note: Read the two indicators together. Health tells you what has already slipped. Risk tells you what is about to.
What it means for your role
- Individual contributors: The Today's Focus page is prioritized list of the work most urgent for you, with emphasis on work that is blocking other tasks.
- Regional and departmental leaders: filter to your region, department, discipline, or people so you review your own area rather than comparing unrelated regions.
- Admins and owners: A consistent company-wide tab structure and components relevant to each workstream.
- Project teams: see unassigned work, past-due milestones, upcoming deadlines, and project-specific files and links in context.
What you can do on the Portfolio Health page
- Open Today’s Focus to review the top 50 prioritized tasks.
- Switch between your configured portfolio tabs, then apply filters across the page.
- Review each location’s Health, Risk, task performance, milestones, and unassigned tasks.
- Expand a location to inspect work by department, discipline, phase, or tag.
- Open the side panel to review and manage relevant tasks, comments, files, and links inline.
Setup and permissions
- Portfolio tabs are configured centrally by the subscription owner.
- That configuration is shared across the subscription, so every user sees the same tab structure.
- Users with limited location access still see only the data they are permitted to access.
