How to use Assign Copies of Tasks?
Use Duplicate to quickly create separate copies of an existing task and assign each copy to a different responsible person, keeping accountability and progress tracking distinct for each individual without manual re-entry.
Plan availability: Available on all plans to all user roles.
Overview
When you use Duplicate, Pacer creates one new task per person selected. Each copy inherits the core task details from the original but is treated as an independent, location-level task. The table below summarizes what is and is not carried over to each copy.
Warning: Copies created using Duplicate are location-level tasks and are tied to the Project's zero date. When the zero date changes, these tasks will update automatically. When changing a zero date and selecting "full rest" or "skip customize dates" their dates must be adjusted manually or by using the Shift Dates feature.
